For parents · What these lessons cover
These lessons support the ratios and rates content of NSW Mathematics K–10 (2022), Stage 4, outcome MA4-RAT-C-01. They focus on what a rate means, how to use it and how to read a distance–time graph.
Checked against the Chapter 6 rates scope in the supplied exam notification. The unitary method means finding the amount for one unit first. Topics include unit rates, fair comparisons, earnings and flow, average speed, unit conversions, and graphs of total distance travelled. These are focused lessons, not a complete Stage 4 course. Start with the ratio lessons if you want to revisit comparisons.
Explanations and captioned videos were made for this site. Short sentences, consistent words and one step at a time follow an ASD-STE100-inspired style. Formal STE compliance is not claimed.
